DESCRIPTION:Event Format:\nThis is a Urban-O (Similar to a Sprint-O) on the campus of Buffalo State University. Two independent classic (sprint) courses will be available running over the campus area. Air control will be enabled. Participants are encouraged to complete both courses (a great two for one deal). \nLocation: Buffalo State University. Parking area R-12\, Rockwell Road\, Buffalo NY \nTime: Check-in starting at 10:00; first course starts at 11:00. All participants must complete the courses by 2:45 PM when controls will start to be picked up. Last start at 1:15 PM. \nCourse: Two (2) independent courses. Map scale is 1:4000 and in 5 colors. \nCost: $10 fee ($5 members and juniors\, 12-20 years old; no charge for children 11 years old and younger) includes 5-color campus map and event entry. \nRegistration: Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.  Registration deadline is Thursday\, August 6 at 10:00 PM. (Note: Each member of a group\, including children 11 years and younger\, must be registered and have a completed waiver. DESCRIPTION:Event Format: This is a Score-O lasting 180 minutes (3 hours).  Numerous controls are placed over a large area.  Locate as many as you desire in any order within the time limit.  It is a great format for hard-core competitors who might finish in less than two hours and for casual hikers who will enjoy the extra time. \nLocation:  Erie County Bureau of Forestry (Sardinia); start location is the Visitor’s Center\, off of Genesee Road. \nTime: Check-in starting at 10:30; course starts between 11:00 and 11:30. Participants must complete the course by 2:30 PM. \nCourse: Single Score-O format course with 25 controls.  Map scale is 1:10\,000 and in 5 colors.  Note that there is a significant penalty if the course is not completed within 180 minutes. \nCost: $10 fee ($5 members and juniors\, 12-20 years old; no charge for children 11 years old and younger) includes 5-color park map and event entry.  Registration deadline is Thursday\, October 1 at 10:00 PM. \nRegistration: Pre-registration is strongly encouraged and will guarantee participation. SUMMARY:Knox Farm 2026 Night-O
DESCRIPTION:Bring your flashlight or headlamp and join us for orienteering in the dark at Knox Farm State Park just outside East Aurora \nEvent Format:  This event is designed for people who have already had some orienteering experience or those who feel very confident using a topographic map and hiking in the dark. You can participate as an individual or with a group of your friends or family. Two courses will be available: a Long Course of 4 kilometers and a Medium Course of 3 kilometers. Both courses will have fairly easy control locations. There will be a mass start. Livelox will be available and SIAC will be enabled. \nLocation: Knox Farm State Park is located at 437 Buffalo Rd\, East Aurora\, NY 14052. Check-in is located in the “Milk House” at the event site (42.776808\, -78.641344). \nTime: Check-in takes place from 5:00 to 5:45 PM. The mass start takes place at 6:00 PM. The time limit is 90 minutes. \nCost: The event fee is $5 for members of any orienteering club or $10 for non-members. Juniors 20 and under who are part of a BFLO family membership participate for free; otherwise it’s $5. Children 11 and under participate for free but must be registered by a parent.
