SUMMARY:CANCELLED: Ellicottville Adventure Run and Hike
DESCRIPTION:DUE TO UNEXPECTED CIRCUMSTANCES THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR 2018 \nIn Orienteering parlance\, this is a Score-O / Mini-Rogaine lasting your choice of a 3-hour or 6-hour time limit. In everyday language\, this is an opportunity to run or hike using a map to find numerous “flag” controls placed over a large area. Locate however many you desire in any order within your pre-chosen time limit. It’s a great format for both hard-core competition and casual family hiking. \nOur event headquarters is at the CCC Camp Seneca on Hungry Hollow Road on the back side of McCarty Hill.  From the village of Ellicottville take Route 219 South about 7.7 miles before turning right onto Hungry Hollow Road.  Continue until the asphalt changes to gravel\, then look for the club’s signs to the camp.  Here’s a link to the location on Google Maps. The GPS coordinates are 42.2243817\, -78.7025548. \nStarting time for the 6-hour event is 11am and the 3-hour is 1pm. Please note that maps will be handed out at 10:00am and 12:30pm\, respectively\, so that participants can strategize. Questions? Email the Meet Director: Linc Blaisdell\, or call him at (716) 479-9431. \nTo guarantee yourself a map\, register online here. Online Registration is highly recommended as the availability of maps for day of event registrants will be limited. Find more information here. SUMMARY:Guided Map Hike Series Day 4
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to feel confident traveling the trails in our beautiful Western New York parks? Looking for fresh air and exercise? Want a challenge? Our Guided Map Hike Series is another way to get out there. Come out to Chestnut Ridge Park any Thursday from July 6 to July 27. Meet us at the Casino by the main parking lot. We start hiking at 6:00pm\, so be prompt. \nIn order to go on any of these hikes\, participants must purchase our 2017 Chestnut Ridge map hike map for $10. It will be available from the hike leader at the beginning of each hike. Anyone who has purchased the map earlier in the season may use the same map. The same map may be used for all of the 2017 guided map hikes\, so a single purchase is necessary. This map will also be useful for individuals while hiking on their own in the park. \nThe guided map hikes will take place on the park trails with a certain amount of off-trail walking to locate some of the 25 map hike controls attached to trees throughout the park. \nTonight’s leader is Rebecca Wightman.

SUMMARY:Guided Map Hike Series Day 3
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to feel confident traveling the trails in our beautiful Western New York parks? \nTonight’s leaders are Rob Reeves and Rainee VanNatter.
