Ski orienteering event featuring Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced courses. Register 10:30am-11:45am. Starting times 11:00am-Noon. For details, email the Meet Director Patty Lyons, or call her at (716) 652-8727. This is an Empire State Games qualifier, the trails are single track and good for old skis. This is a 90-minute non-competitive training/learning/educational event for any experience level, for walkers or runners, featuring a practice course and experienced instructors. Meet at the Casino at 10:00am. Email Jackie Novkov, or call her at (716) 903-1180. $8 fee includes 5-color park map and a free entry into the 3 Course Meet that follows.

This is a US Orienteering Federation sanctioned two-day three-event A-Meet that will attract competitors from throughout the northeast US and eastern Canada. Saturday: Middle Distance at Hunters Creek, Sprint and Picnic Barbecue at Emery Park. Sunday: Long Distance at Sprague Brook. Meet Director: David Cady, (716) 430-3574. Check here for more info. National Orienteering Day. This is a 90-minute non-competitive training, learning, and educational event for any experience level. Walkers and runners alike will enjoy a practice course and experienced instructors. Meet at the large picnic pavilion near the Newton Road entrance at 11:00am or follow signs from Chestnut Ridge Road. No pre-registeration required. Questions? CCC Base Camp

Mini-Rogaine
This is a Score-O or Mini-Rogaine lasting your choice of a 90 minute, 3 hour, or 5 hour time limit. Numerous controls placed over a large area. Locate however many you desire in any order within your pre-chosen time limit. It's a great format for both hard-core competition and casual family hiking. Our base is at the CCC Camp on Hungry Hollow Road on the back side of the Holiday Valley resort. From the village of Ellicottville, take Route 219 south about three miles through the hamlets of Great Valley and Peth before turning right onto Hungry Hollow Road. Continue until the asphalt changes to gravel, then look for the club's signs to the Camp. Register 10:30am-11:45am. Starting time Noon.   • Information about a specific meet or directions can be obtained by contacting the meet director by phone or email.
  • For most meets, registration and beginner instruction begins at 10:30am with starts from 11:00am to Noon, unless noted otherwise above.
  • All participants are required to sign a release waiver.
  • For safety reasons, all participants are required to carry whistles. A limited number are available for rental at meets.
  • Follow the orienteering signs at the Park entrance to the meet location.
  • Entry fees for all BflO meets are $4 for current members and $8 for guests, except as noted for special meets.
  • Entry fees at Schoellkopf Boy Scout Camp events are at the members rate of $4 for Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Girl Scouts only; all others follow above fees.
  • Events are held rain or shine.
